Coalitions and Campaigns
DecrimNY - Decrim NY advocates and organizes to shape New York City and State policy and public opinion around people in the sex trades. We seek to improve the lives of people who perform sexual labor by choice, circumstance, or coercion, people profiled as such, and communities impacted by the criminalization of sex work and sexual exchange.
ICE Out of Courts Coalition - Our statewide coalition of anti-violence advocates, public defenders, civil legal services providers, labor unions, and membership organizations has been steadily building our campaign, calling on the New York State government — the Office of Court Administration, the legislature, and the governor — to stop ICE from targeting immigrant New Yorkers in the courts.
Right to Counsel NYC Coalition - The Right to Counsel NYC Coalition is a tenant led broad based coalition that formed in 2014 to disrupt Housing Court as a center of displacement and stop the eviction crisis that has threatened our families, our neighborhoods and our homes for too long. Our Coalition is made up of tenants, organizers, advocates, legal services organizations and more! Our work is rooted in principles of equity, dignity, humanity, diversity and justice. After a hard fought, 3 year grassroots campaign, we won and became the first city in the nation to establish a Right to Counsel for tenants facing eviction. Our campaign has inspired a movement across the country.
